Tokyo Olympics 2020: Nigeria’s Olufunke Oshonaike Takes On United States’ Juan Liu In Women’s Singles Table Tennis

African iconic paddler and Olympics Games Women Records holder, Olufunke Oshonaike, represents Nigeria again at this year’s Summer Olympics Ganes in Tokyo, Japan. Olufunke Oshonaike is the first woman to qualify for Olympics Games for seven times in tennis.

The African tennis queen, Olufunke Oshonaike is Twenty Five Times National Champion, Eleven Times African Games Medalist and Three Time Continental Champion. The iconic paddler takes on her first task at the 2020 Olympics Games in Tokyo, Japan tomorrow, at 12:00 AM GMT.

Olufunke Oshonaike will face Juan Lui from the United States at the preliminary round of the Women’s singles. While she looks forward to progress, she will become the fifth table tennis player to have competed in seven Olympics games. Currently, Jean-Michael Saive of Belgium, Zoran Primorac of Croatia, Jörgen Persson of Sweden, and Segun Toriola of Nigeria hold the record of seven Olympics table tennis appearances.
