Rashford, Sancho And Saka Send Football To Rome As Italy Wins Euro 2020

This day was going to come and it finally arrives but “Football Is Coming Home” never materialized. After 55 years England still has to wait to find out when football is coming home. Football has landed in Rome.

The Euro 2020 championship has come to a close. England faced Italy at the Wembley Stadium in England. Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw opened the scoring from Kieran Trippier’s diagonal cross in the 2nd minute into the game to keep the “It’s Coming Home” roar alive.

Italy kept pressuring the Three Lions but the first half ended victory in favor of the Three Lions. Leonardo Bonucci finds the equalizer in the 67th minute to push the game into extra time. Gareth Southgate’s two substitutions saw Kyle Walker and Jordan Henderson replaced by Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford MBE respectively.

However, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford missed their penalty shootout. Jorginho and Andrea Belotti also missed but it was Bukayo Saka who missed the third one on England’s list to send football which was almost home to Rome.

Roberto Mancini and Italy are the Euro 2020 Champions.
