Seasoned journalist Paul Adom Otchere has castigated social media users for mocking Minister of Fisheries designate, Hawa Koomson over her ‘bad’ English.
Hon. Hawa Koomson came under intense criticisms over her lack of control over the Queen’s language while answering questions when she faced the Appointment Committee of Parliament on Thursday,18th February 2021.
However, Paul Adom Otchere has jumped to the defence of Hawa Koomson as she has lambasted critics of the MP’s bad command of the English language.
““Stop being on facebook and typing ‘I know right’ so you think because you can type ‘I know right’.. and because of that, you are okay? Your okayness is showing in your inability to contribute to the development of Ghana because every job interview you go you fail Having being to the University of Ghana.
Having gone to waste four years gossiping on the University campus and you didn’t learn anything and you come and sit down there and you are laughing at Hawa Koomson. Are you serious? Is that the country we want to build? Please let’s stop that.
As young people let’s not try to be funny. Let’s stop this kind of behaviour. Get serious with our life that is why someone is suggesting that if she can’t speak English allow her to speak in her local language…” Paul Adom Otchere fumed.
