Don Jazzy and Niyi
Popular Nigerian music producer and record label owner, Don Jazzy has made the dream of an artist come true following an exchange on Twitter.
This happened after the stunning painting of a Nigerian artist called Frederick Omoniyi attracted the attention of the music producer.
Don Jazzy patronized his work following days of no interest from buyers to the purchase the artwork. The artist had tagged Don Jazzy urging his followers to bring his attention to the tweet.
”The thought that I would have sold this art since the day I launched it is very depressing. @DONJAZZY Will you buy my art pls?” he tweeted.
The Mavin Records CEO was impressed and wowed by Frederick’s work and offered to pay him N300k although the original price tag announced by the artist was 200k naira.
”Guyyyyys.. This just happened!! Thanks @DONJAZZY Don’t know how to act right now fr!!” he tweeted.
The 37-year-old single singer then replied;
”You’re very welcome bro. Can’t wait to have the painting in my home. Thanks”
