The new year just commenced and it seems Ghanaian singer, Kidi has started it on a good note as he has been named in BBC’s top 10 African artistes.
The singer was featured alongside the likes of South African songstress singer Elaine, Nigeria’s Omah Lay and Zimbabwe’s Sha Sha.
The BBC report is quoted as writing “KiDi, part of a new generation of Ghanaian artists, had his breakthrough moment when his recording Sugar won album of the year at the 2020 Ghana music awards.
This comes as a little surprise as Kidi’s ‘Say Cheese’ song made massive waves and this paved the way for him to burst onto the international scene.
Following the enviable achievement, KiDi took to his social media handle to make the announcement and as it were, blow his own horns for all the effort.
He took to Facebook and wrote: “Honored to be part of @bbc’s top 10 artistes to look out for in 2021…Forward we go”.
